Imayam Institute of Agriculture and Technology (IIAT)
is one of the Imayam Group of Educational Institutes.
This college was started in accordance with G.O.MS 140
of Agriculture (AU) Department dated 02.07.2013 of
Government of Tamil Nadu and it started functioning
from 27.07.2013 with the admission strength of 60
students per year
This college is situated at Kannanur on the ThuraiyurNamakal Highway, six kilometers away from Thuraiyur
Municipality. It is well connected by roads and the nearest
railway station and airport is Tiruchirappalli, which is 50
km from Thuraiyur.
Thuraiyur lies between 11.170 North Latitude and 78.620
East Longitude with an altitude of 85M above MSL.
The mean maximum temperature is 40.2°C and mean
minimum is 15.0°C. The average annual rainfall of the
district is of 626.4 mm.The college campus has spread
over an area of 49.67 hectares [122.69 acres].
